Circular Scragg Saw
Circular Scragg Saw
Primary Single Arbor Scragg Saw
Designed to break down a log into a 2-sided cant. Equipped with sharp chain and top hold downs to hydraulically feed into single arbor saws with a variable feed rate of 40' to 150' feet per minute. Final speed is determined by many variables, such as log size, species, moisture content, equipment maintenance, etc. Saw blades are 52" diameter powered by (2) 100HP TEFC motors with 8-belt drives. Saws will move in as close as 3 ½" and as wide as 12". Set works are provided with a minimum of 4 sets. Will process logs from 4" to 16" diameter from 30" to 60" long. Includes slab take away belts on each side of saws to remove slabs from saw chamber. Infeed is equipped with a pop up turner designed to turn logs to proper feed position and load onto sharp chain. Outfeed is provided with a kickoff to remove two sided cants from sharp chain and turn 90? to enter secondary scragg saw.
Electrical panel consists of starters and controls for all functions, electrical panel is dust tight and includes main circuit breaker, control circuit transformer (24 volt) and (3) fuses for each motor. Full voltage starters are included for hydraulic power unit. Soft start starters are provided for (2) 100HP primary scragg saw motors and (2) 75HP secondary scragg saw motors.
Saw Blades: 52" diameter, 42 teeth, 6/7 gauge plate, .3125 kerf, 2" bore with two 13/16" pinholes on 5" bolt centers “Included”.
5' Wide Primary Slab Belts
20' long x 5' wide. Powered by hydraulics from primary scragg saw with PVC 120 black smooth top belting. Includes air powered pinstops and gravity rolls at slab edger loading area. Designed to convey slabs to slab edger.
Secondary Single Arbor Scragg Saw
Designed to break down two sided cant from primary scragg into four sided cant. Equipped with centering device on infeed rolls to center cant with saw blades for maximum yield. Sharp chain feed with top hold downs hydraulically feed cants at a variable feed rate of 40' to 150' feet per minute through 38" diameter single arbor saws powered by (2) 75HP TEFC motors. Final speed is determined by many variables such as log size, species, moisture content, equipment maintenance, etc. Saws will move in as close as 3 ½" and as wide as 12" with set works and a minimum of 10 different sets. Programming, starters and controls are at panels of primary scragg saw.
Saw Blades: 38" diameter, 40 teeth, 6/7 gauge plate, .3125 kerf, 2" bore with two 13/16" pinholes on 5" bolt centers “Included”.
